HOW TO BE AN ALLY TO BLACK WOMEN: WEBINAR VIDEO NOW ONLINE

Women in Football's webinar series with Jessica Creighton, B is for: Black, resumed this month with a discussion on the theme of How To Be an Ally To Black Women.

Jessica's all-star panel lined up like this:

  • Hayley Bennett, Co-founder of We Are Nutmegs; diversity and inclusion consultant
  • Francesca Brown, Founder, Goals4Girls
  • Edleen John, Director of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion at the FA
  • Jane Purdon, Director, Women in Football and Chair, Professional Game Academy Audit Company

The B is for: Black series links to Jessica's YouTube chat show of the same title, which provides a unique insight into the lives and experiences of black and mixed-race women in sport.

The latest webinar in the series follows two episodes in 2021, which looked at the black women players and coaches who are blazing a trail in the game. Along with other events from the WIF webinar series, it now features on Women in Football's YouTube channel.

Jessica Creighton is an award-winning presenter and journalist who has worked for world-renowned organisations like BBC Sport, Radio 5 Live, BT Sport, talkSPORT and more recently Sky Sports. As a former player, Jessica is committed to levelling the playing field in football and ensuring sport is accessible to all, particularly those from marginalised communities.

The WIF webinar programme is ongoing, with the next event on International Women's Day, when another all-star panel takes up the IWD theme of #BreakTheBias.

Women in Football webinars are free to attend for all WIF members. Join us for free to get to access and be informed when new webinars are announced.
