Women's Community Shield at Wembley to be televised live by the BBC

Wembley Stadium will host its first ever Community Shield double-header on 29 August

The 2020/21 Community Shield is going to feature the first ever double-header with both men's and women's matches to be played at Wembley Stadium on 29 August.

And BBC Sport has confirmed that it will provide live televised coverage of the women's contest.

This mouthwatering encounter pitches WSL champion Chelsea against 2019 FA Cup winners Manchester City who qualify after the conclusion of this season's interrupted competition was postponed until September.

It will be the first Women's Community Shield since Arsenal beat Everton 1-0 in 2008. Kick-off is at 12:30 BST.

The men's equivalent, in which Liverpool face Arsenal, begins at 16:30 BST and will be broadcast by BT Sport.
