Women in Football confirm appointment of two new committee members

Emma Vetriano and Alex Stone - additions to Women in Football as committee members

Women in Football are thrilled to announce Emma Vetriano and Alex Stone will be joining as members of the Finance and Marketing Committee.

Emma, Partnerships Manager, Celebrities and Lifestyle Influencers – EA GAMES & EA SPORTS at Electronic Arts,  and Alex, who is Group Leader, Social Media & Video at FIFA Digital, are welcome additions to the WiF team.

“It is wonderful that we now have the outstanding skillsets Emma and Alex can offer,” said Women in Football Chair Ebru Köksal.

"This is a truly exciting time for us as an organisation, and the impact we can continue to make for girls and women in football across the industry not just in the UK, but globally too.

"Emma and Alex have a big part to play in helping us drive forward.”

Introducing our new committee members:

Alex Stone

Alex is the Group Leader, Social Media & Video at FIFA Digital. He is an experienced Sports Communications Specialist and has worked in the sports industry for nearly two decades at The FA, where he was PR Manager and worked with the England Women’s team including the 2007 World Cup in China. For the last six-and-a-half years, Alex has worked at FIFA. Skilled in Media Relations, Public Relations, Social Media, Digital Marketing, Crisis Communications, Event Management and Media Operations.  Alex is married and a father of three

Emma Vetriano

A former student athlete and 2019 Sport Industry NextGen, Emma leads Influencer Relations for EA SPORTS FIFA, NBA Live and The Sims. Emma’s career began in sales, before seeking out agency opportunities in London - where she gained a breadth of experience planning and implementing revenue strategies on behalf of B2C brands, from start-ups to multinational software corporations. Moving client-side, Emma led Brentford FC's marketing department - whilst completing an MSc in Sport Management & Marketing, representing all 72 EFL clubs at the EFL’s Digital Working Group, and co-founding Brentford’s Inclusivity and Diversity Committee. Joining Electronic Arts in 2018, to manage EA SPORTS FIFA’s global football partnerships before being invited to join their newly established Social Channels and Influencers team. Emma lives in Cobham, Surrey, with her fiancé.
