Nominations open to put forward your 'Unsung Sporting Heroes' in Scottish women's football

Watermans' new Unsung Sporting Heroes will honour people in Scotland making a huge difference to sport

Everyone knows it’s the sheer level of dedication and commitment from our coaches, athletes and match officials that has helped make women's football the sport it is today.

However, these impressive individuals don’t always get the recognition they deserve, so from time to time, it’s nice for them to be acknowledged and praised by people outside the sport.

To do just that, Watermans new Unsung Sporting Heroes looks to honour people in Scotland who’re making a huge difference to sport at all levels.

They’ve featured an extraordinary round-up athletes and coaches, old and young, from a wide range of sporting backgrounds and disciplines.

Watermans are also encouraging people to nominate their own sporting hero, and we’re sure you’d agree that it’d be great to have someone representing women’s football within the feature.

So, if there’s someone in Scottish women’s football you think should be featured on the wall of Unsung Sporting Heroes, you can submit your nomination with why you feel they deserve to be recognised.

With each nomination, they will also be entered into a competition to win one year’s sponsorship from Watermans.
