Jacqui Forster 1962 - 2018

Everyone at Women in Football is deeply saddened by the passing of Jacqui Forster following a long and courageous fight against cancer.

Jacqui was first taken to football by her Dad and instantly fell in love with the game, proudly supporting her local team Altrincham.

After years of standing on the terraces she was prompted to set up a supporter’s trust and her work soon caught the eye of Brian Lomax. After joining Supporters Direct in 2003, Jacqui had a perfect platform to help supporters find their voice across the country.

Warm, funny, passionate and dedicated, Jacqui has been involved in almost every one of the 200 supporters trusts at some stage of their development and was rightly proud of her inspirational new venture, Women at the Game, an initiative to encourage women to meet before a match in somewhere like a café or coffee shop and go to the game with other females in a supportive environment.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jacqui's family and friends at this sad and difficult time.
