Women in Football are delighted to announce that Louise Sutton is the new editor of BBC One's Saturday afternoon football results show Final Score.
Lou is a superb journalist and producer who spent over a decade working on BBC Radio 5 live's flagship Saturday sport show. Recently she has been producing live FA WSL commentary on 5 live sports extra, helping to develop women football commentators and reporters and producing films for Women's Sport Week which helped BBC Sport win the Women's Sport Trust Media Initiative award. She has also exec produced The Women's Football Show on BBC Two.
Lou was highly commended by the Sports Journalists Association for The Blind Faithful, a wonderful portrait of the passion of partially sighted & blind football fans. Inside the BBC the programme is used as a guide to how traditional media and new media can work together to create a splash - the video made to accompany the programme got almost a million hits, while the 5 live programme trended on Twitter during broadcast.
Lou will be a wonderful addition to the BBC Sport TV Football team.
