The Football Association (FA) has partnered exclusively with Ruebik to appoint its next Finance Director.
Together, we are delivering an inclusive search to find an exceptional finance leader who will bring fresh perspectives, commercial insight and outstanding leadership to The FA and help shape the future of the national game.
About The FA
Football has the power to inspire, unite and create lasting impact. The FA develops and governs the game in England from grassroots football to the national teams, Wembley Stadium and St. George's Park and reinvests its significant revenues to help the game grow at every level. As it continues to evolve as a modern, ambitious organisation, it is seeking an outstanding Finance Director to join its senior leadership team.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Deputy CEO and working closely with the Executive Team and Board, you will lead The FA's finance function in a complex organisation with diverse revenue streams, significant commercial partnerships and substantial investment in the future of the game.

Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build trust with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Experience developing high-performing teams and building positive, inclusive cultures.
Above all, you are emotionally intelligent, curious and resilient comfortable with complexity, values-led and genuinely connected to The FA's mission and football's wider social impact.
WHY THE FA?
Few finance leadership roles offer this scale, influence and sense of purpose. This is a chance to shape decisions that extend far beyond the balance sheet, influence the future of English football and help steward an organisation that reinvests millions into the game every year.
A leadership role where commercial impact and meaningful purpose go hand in hand.
Football is for everyone and so is this opportunity. The FA is committed to building diverse teams and welcomes people of all backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. We value the difference you bring, and we know exceptional candidates may not meet every requirement listed. If you believe you could make a significant contribution, we would love to hear from you.

Chair, Football Regulatory Authority (FRA)
Help Shape the Future of Football Governance and Regulation
The Football Association is seeking an outstanding individual to Chair the Football Regulatory Authority (FRA).
The FRA oversees key disciplinary, regulatory and rulemaking matters that help safeguard the integrity of football in England and shape the framework within which the game operates.
Providing independent leadership, the Chair will foster constructive challenge, build consensus across a diverse group of Commissioners and ensure the FRA delivers fair, credible and timely decisions on matters of significant importance to the game.
Interested candidates should contact Odgers directly via www.odgers.com/97035. Please do not contact The FA directly as it may delay consideration.
What is the FRA?
The FRA is a body with disciplinary, regulatory and rule-making functions in relation to football in England. The FRA has twelve Commissioners. Four are elected by representatives from the professional game, four are elected by representatives from the national game and the remaining four members are independent.
The FRA's key responsibilities include the following:
Reviewing amendments to FA Rules and Regulations – changes to FA Rules and Regulations are discussed and reviewed by the FRA and then submitted to the other relevant FA bodies for final approval.
Monitoring compliance with FA Rules and Regulations - FRA members are provided with updates on compliance with FA Rules and Regulations and members are invited to provide input on current themes and issues in the regulation of football.
Reviewing the composition and suitability of The FA Judicial Panel – the FRA is responsible for approving members of The FA's Judicial Panel (the panel which judges The FA's disciplinary cases).
The Role
As Chair you will be responsible for ensuring the FRA operates with credibility, integrity and effectiveness, enabling robust and balanced consideration of the regulatory matters that come before it.
Working with other FRA Commissioners from a range of professional and football backgrounds, you will:
create the conditions for constructive challenge and rigorous debate, ensuring decisions are informed by a wide range of perspectives and expertise;
build consensus amongst experienced and influential stakeholders;
oversee the efficient operation of the committee, ensuring matters are considered appropriately and decisions are reached within agreed timescales;
act as a trusted and respected figure maintaining confidence amongst stakeholders whilst remaining independent;
provide appropriate scrutiny and challenge to The FA where necessary, whilst fostering productive and constructive relationships; and
contribute your own insight, expertise and judgement to discussions on significant regulatory and governance matters affecting the game.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking an accomplished Chair with the judgement and credibility to lead a decision-making body operating at the heart of English football.
You will have previous experience chairing a board, committee, regulatory body or similar governance forum where balanced decision-making, stakeholder management and independent judgement were critical to success.
You may have gained this experience within sport, law, regulation, policing, the judiciary, government or another highly regulated environment.
Most importantly, you will bring the following.
A proven track record of successfully chairing complex boards, committees or regulatory bodies.
Exceptional judgement and the ability to balance competing interests whilst maintaining fairness and objectivity.
The credibility and presence to influence and command the respect of senior stakeholders.
Strong governance instincts and a clear understanding of the role of independent oversight.
The ability to facilitate thoughtful debate and unite diverse viewpoints behind collective decisions.
Experience navigating sensitive, high-profile or reputationally significant issues.
Courage, independence and integrity, coupled with sound judgement on when to challenge and when to support.
A genuine commitment to the long-term interests and integrity of football.
Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to influence a sport of national significance. As Chair of the FRA, you will help shape the regulatory framework that underpins English football, contribute to decisions that protect the integrity of the game and work alongside respected leaders from across sport and beyond. It is a rare opportunity to apply your experience to matters of genuine importance while making a lasting contribution to the future of football in England.
Time Commitment
The commitment is designed to be manageable alongside existing professional responsibilities:
Six meetings per year with roughly half of those meetings taking place at Wembley Stadium. Meetings typically last around two hours.
Approximately one day of preparation and reading is required ahead of each meeting.
Ad hoc engagement may occasionally be required between meetings.

Seventy-two Clubs. Three divisions. Millions of supporters. Thousands of communities impacted through football.
The next CEO will inherit an organisation that is stronger than it was five years ago - financially, commercially, operationally and culturally. The challenge is not to reinvent the EFL - it is to build on that progress and lead the organisation through the next phase of its development.
It requires a leader who understands that football is about far more than ninety minutes on a Saturday afternoon. It is about communities, heritage, opportunity, competitiveness and sustainability. It is about protecting and strengthening the football pyramid whilst making sure that EFL Clubs can thrive in an increasingly complex and competitive environment.
The next CEO will work with the Board to define the EFL's future purpose and ambition, build alignment across its membership and provide inspirational leadership to employees, Clubs and stakeholders alike.
They will be a visible champion of the EFL, an exceptional relationship-builder, a credible strategic thinker and a leader capable of navigating some of the most important issues facing football today.
The Strategic Agenda
The next CEO will be expected to successfully lead the organisation through three defining strategic opportunities.
Securing Football's Future Financial Settlement
Working with the Premier League and wider stakeholders to establish a sustainable financial framework that supports the continued success of Clubs across the football pyramid.
Maximising Broadcast and Commercial Growth
Building on strong foundations and positioning the EFL to maximise future domestic and international media rights opportunities, particularly in high-growth territories including North America and emerging global markets.
Defining the Next Era of the EFL
Working with Clubs, the Board and stakeholders to determine how the League should evolve in response to regulatory change, shifting supporter expectations, new technologies and the future direction of professional football.
Governance and Values
The CEO will be the guardian of the League's reputation.
The successful candidate must demonstrate unwavering commitment to:
Integrity
Transparency
Courage
Inclusion
Accountability
Good governance
They will make sure decisions are made not simply because they are popular or expedient, but because they are right.
The successful candidate will understand that governance and commercial success are not competing priorities - they are mutually dependent.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Clubs
The CEO exists to serve and support the EFL's membership.
They will build trusted relationships with Club owners, Chairs and executives, understanding that while Clubs may have different priorities, they share a common interest in a strong, sustainable and successful League.
Shape the Future of English Football
The next CEO will represent the interests of the EFL at the highest levels of the game.
They will be the League's leading ambassador and negotiator, building influential relationships across football, government and business.
The successful candidate will recognise that influence is earned through credibility, trust and consistency.
Inspire the Organisation
The next CEO will inherit a highly engaged and committed workforce.
They will understand that organisational culture is a competitive advantage and that great results come from great people.
They will make sure the EFL remains an organisation where talented people want to work and are proud to contribute.
The Person
The successful candidate may have emerged from football administration, a sports governing body, rights-holding organisation, major commercial enterprise or another complex stakeholder environment.
What matters most is their ability to lead.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Proven success as a CEO or equivalent senior leader
Experience operating within complex governance structures
Experience of operating in a similarly complex stakeholder environment
Strong commercial and strategic track record
Evidence of leading organisational growth and transformation
Strong experience working with Boards and non-executive stakeholders
